About Us

A bustling outdoor event at Elks Lodge #800 with tents and attendees.

Walk through the doors of Elks Lodge #800 on South Market Street and you'll find something increasingly rare: a place where people actually know each other. Rated 4.8 out of 5 stars by over 130 members and guests, this lodge has earned that score the old-fashioned way, through good food, clean facilities, and a crowd that treats strangers like they've been coming in for years.

The kitchen is a legitimate reason to show up. Locals rank the burgers among the best in Marion, IL, and the daily lunch specials Monday through Friday keep regulars cycling through like clockwork. Reunion groups, old friends reconnecting over fried shrimp and lobster, and newcomers who wandered in on a recommendation all leave saying the same thing: they'll be back.

Beyond the food and drinks, Lodge #800 is the kind of organization that shows up for the community when it counts. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has been doing charitable work across America for generations, and the Marion chapter carries that tradition forward with local giving, veterans support, and youth programs that make a tangible difference in Williamson County.

What We Offer

Lodge #800 keeps things straightforward and satisfying. The bar serves cold drinks in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere any day of the week, the kind of place where you can catch up with someone you haven't seen in years without shouting over a DJ.

The kitchen runs lunch service Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a rotating daily special that gives regulars something to look forward to every morning. The house burger has developed a genuine following in Marion, and the menu extends to crowd-pleasers like fried shrimp. If you're running a few minutes late, a quick call ahead keeps the kitchen from closing on you.

Beyond dining, the lodge hosts private events and reunions, offering a comfortable, affordable venue with a built-in bar and staff who know how to make a group feel at home. Membership in the Elks opens the door to a national network of lodges, community programs, scholarships, and veteran services that extend well past Marion's city limits.

"Great little lunch spot. One of the best burgers in town. They have a different plate lunch special every day. Open from 1030am-1pm M-F for lunch - call if you're going to be a little later than that - sometimes the grill and fryers are still on. They also have food many evenings from 6-8pm - bar style food, wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches, etc. Friday night dinners are a bigger affair with a full menu and a weekly special - 1st Friday of the Month - Lobster Tails and Steaks, 2nd Friday - Pork Steaks or Ribs, 3rd Friday - Prime Rib, 4th Friday - Steak Special, 5th Friday - Fish."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
